Looks like Days of Our Lives (DOOL) fans need to gear up for a creepy storyline as the past and the present collide. Will Johnny’s movie stir up memories that are better left unspoken? How will Allie handle this all? Will anyone notice what Doug’s “condition” is truly all about? Will Ben finally tell Ciara how he feels about starting a family? Viewers just love to speculate on storylines! As such, below are some DOOL plotline predictions for September 20 to October 1, 2021.

12. Johnny’s Movie Springboard To Possession Storyline

DOOL spoilers were abuzz last week with hints that the show was bringing back the “possession” storyline from the 1990s. This was a controversial one, back in the day. Some fans thought it was cheesy, others were terrified, and some found it interesting. It depends on who you talk to. After last Friday’s episode, it’s clear that it is full steam ahead with this creepy arc. Just in time for the Halloween season!

11. John’s Worried

Fans can already see that John is worried about Johnny’s film, Marlena, and the entire Black, Brady, and Evans family. He doesn’t want to see this movie move forward, and next week he’ll even approach EJ to see if they can stop this from happening. Doesn’t seem as if that will happen. Johnny’s movie is a “go”.

10. Who Will This “Possession” Storyline Focus On?

The Friday, September 17th episode offers some hints around this. Fans now know that the Devil is back in Salem, and Doug’s issues aren’t dementia or Alzheimer’s. It looks as if this storyline will pull multiple Days characters. Not only Marlena, John, Doug, and Julie, but possibly Johnny, Allie, Eli, and others, too. It’s full steam ahead in the coming weeks, as spoilers indicate that Marlena will have a “demonic” bad dream the week of September 27th. While John gets a “dire” warning.

9. The Silver Lining For Doug

The coolest thing about this storyline is that Days fans will see more of Doug Williams onscreen. Thankfully, he’s also not suffering from dementia or Alzheimer’s! The sad part is that he is possessed; however, Salem’s heroes and heroines should be able to help him before things get out of hand (hopefully).

8. Things Worsen For Doug

Over the next couple of weeks, Doug’s “condition” will worsen. Julie does something by accident that will cause drama for her hubby, and Doug won’t be able to communicate with Eli, the week of September 27th. Could the Devil hurt Williams over the next couple of weeks? His goal is to get to Marlena. If he succeeds, could he cause harm to Doug? So much so, the iconic character lands in the hospital … or worse?

7. Allie’s Obsessed

Allie will be obsessed with her family’s history over the next couple of weeks. Thanks to Johnny and his movie, she’ll catch a glimpse of the script. She’ll even question John on some things. In fact, she’ll be so disturbed by everything, she’ll tell Tripp all about it. Can Allie move forward and gain peace around her family’s history? Could she also become a target of the Devil?

6. Abigail Is Pulled In

DOOL fall spoilers indicate that Abigail will star in Johnny’s film, and this is set to unravel in the next couple of weeks. Teasers state that Abby will accept Johnny’s offer the week of September 27th, but will she play Marlena or Sami? Could she be pulled into the possession storyline, as well? Sounds like she may. After all, she does suffer from mental health issues, so if she did do something strange, people would chalk it up to that. A perfect candidate for the evil one to jump into.

5. Abigail Doesn’t Buy What Gwen Is Selling

While the hope is that Gwen and Abby will get along and move forward from their past drama, things will only heat up. DOOL spoilers hint that Abigail will think long and hard about Gwen’s “story” and something won’t add up. Abby might not be willing to let go of things just yet. Gwen’s dug deep into her lies. She may be able to fool Jack, but she won’t be able to do the same with her half-sister.

4. Love Is In The Air!

On a happy note, it sounds like love will be in the air for several new (or reuniting) couples in Salem. Johnny and Chanel will get back on track, and the young DiMera will work hard to “woo” his new girlfriend, the week of September 27th. Sounds like Roman and Kate might be on their way to reuniting. Philip will lay it on thick with Chloe. So much so, some romantic jesters are in the works over the next couple of weeks.

3. A Picnic And A Proposal

This coming week, Philip organizes a romantic picnic for Chloe. However, Days spoilers for the week of September 27th reveal he’ll do something major. Sounds like it’ll be romantic, and the goal is to finally win Lane over. Does Kiriakis take the leap and ask her to marry him? Will she say yes?

2. Unexpected New Couple Alert

Think Nicole and Rafe are going to come together? Think again! Looks like it’s reunion time for Nicole and EJ! Not only does a Days fall video preview show the two kissing, but spoilers are hinting to this as well. Walker and DiMera made quite the couple back in the day. With that said, Nicole has changed tremendously, while EJ’s dark side has re-emerged. Will they work this time around, or is this a bad decision for both parties involved?

1. Baby-making Time!?

Days spoilers this week suggest that Ben will tell Ciara just why he’s hesitant about having a baby. Sounds like he’s worried about “passing on” any mental health issues to their child. The good news is that he’ll be honest with his wife, and she’ll offer support and comfort. Whatever goes down this week and next might set Cin up for a “baby-making” storyline. Time to turn their family of two into a family of three (or four).
