7. She’s Ambitious

Gigi has ambitious plans for her modeling career, and is very goal-oriented in regards to fashion and her life in general. She is persistent in her hobbies as well, and is currently very into cooking and boxing. Also during her Vogue interview, she said, “I’m very persistent when it comes to goals – I’d get childish and have tunnel vision and only focus and work towards that.”

6. Modeling and Success Are In Her Blood

Gigi’s mother is Yolanda Foster, a Dutch model who many people know from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Her biological father is Mohamed Hadid, a real estate entrepreneur worth around $200 million. Her stepfather, David Foster, is also very successful in his career as a music producer.

5. Modeling Isn’t Her Only Talent

Gigi has appeared in music videos playing Cody Simpson’s love interest. She was in his video for the song “Surfboard” in April 2014. She also appeared in Grammy-winning singer Miguel’s video for the song “Simplethings” in May of 2014,  as well as Taylor Swift’s video for “Bad Blood,” and Calvin Harris’s video for “How Deep Is Your Love,” both in 2015. She has also appeared in several short films and in Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as herself.

4. She’s Been Doing This Since She Was 2

Gigi was discovered when she was just 2 years old, and started modeling for Baby Guess then. She took many years off from modeling for school, and then went back to Guess after completing high school and restarted her modeling career.

3. She’s Taking the Fashion World By Storm

From high fashion to commercial to runway, Gigi is turning heads in the fashion business. Gigi has appeared in VMAN, Elle, Grazia, Cleo, Vogue, Sports Illustrated, Paper magazine, and Schön Magazine. She has been the face of Guess and Maybelline, and has been on the cover of Vogue Espana, Teen Vogue, Vogue Australia, and Vogue Brazil. She also is in the 2015 Pirelli calendar. She has walked countless runways for top designers, was named one of 12 rookies in Sport’s Illustrated’s annual swimsuit issue in 2014, and was named Model of the Year in 2015 at the Daily Front Row Fashion Awards.

2. Her Social Media Skills Are Stellar

Vanity Fair says she has “Serious Social Media Chops.” Gigi has more than five million followers on her Instagram account and more than 500 thousand followers on Twitter. Her social media presence contributes to her success and her fan base and is growing daily.

With friends like Taylor Swift, Kendall Jenner, Miley Cyrus and Cara Delevingne, people around the world would kill to get an invite to one of her parties. Her taste in men isn’t shabby either, with current boyfriend Joe Jonas, and on-again, off-again ex-boyfriend Cody Simpson.
