Sometimes love just doesn’t last – especially when you’re a celebrity! These celebs thought they found their happily ever after and then found themselves divorced while they were still relatively young. Check out these 15 celebrities who were married and divorced by the age of 25:

15. Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie met her first husband Jonny Lee Miller on the set of the 1995 film Hackers. The two were married in an unconventional ceremony in 1996 where she wore a shirt with his name written with her blood. She was just 20 years old. Unsurprisingly, the marriage didn’t last long. The couple separated the following year and then divorced in 1999 but remain good friends to this day.

14.  Melanie Griffith

The Working Girl star met Don Johnson, who would become her first and third husband, when she was just 14 years old on the set of the 1973 film The Harrad Experiment. He was 22 at the time. The two had a whirlwind romance, which culminated in a six-month marriage in 1976 when she was just 18. While the two divorced that same year, they remarried in 1989 and divorced again in 1996.

13. Kailyn Lowry

This Teen Mom 2 star married her first and only husband Javi Marroquin in 2013 when she was 21 years old. While the couple initially seemed happy together, after Lowry suffered a miscarriage, the marriage fell apart. Three years later, she filed for divorce and a year later it was finalized when she was just 24 years old.

12. Uma Thurman

Before she married and divorced Ethan Hawke, Uma Thurman was married to actor Gary Oldman. The two met on the set of the film State of Grace. They were married in 1990 when she was just 20 years old and he was 32. According to Vanity Fair, the marriage was turbulent and, two years after tying the knot, the couple divorced.

11. Jane Levy

No one even knew that Suburgatory star Jane Levy was married when she filed for divorce from actor Jaime Freitas in 2013. According to their divorce papers, the two had secretly gotten married in March 2011 when Levy was just 21 and then separated seven months later in October 2011. She filed for divorce in 2013, citing irreconcilable differences.

10. Jamie Lynn Sigler

The Sopranos star began dating her manager Abraxas “A.J.” DiScala when she was 21 and then married him a year later in 2003. The two had met when she was 19 and he was 29. They separated just two years after tying the knot and Sigler was 25 when they officially divorced in 2006.

9. Sophia Bush

Sophia Bush was just 22 years old when she married her One Tree Hill co-star Chad Michael Murray in April 2005 and the marriage lasted less than a year. Although Bush tried to get it annulled, her request was denied and the two were granted a divorce in December 2006 instead.

8. Jenelle Evans

Jenelle Evans’ first marriage to Courtland Rogers occurred when she was 20 years old, and it was over just a few months after she turned 21. The union was plagued with issues with Evans filing four counts of assault on a female and two counts of battery of unborn child against Rogers just one month after the wedding. The couple was finally divorced in June 2014.

7. Alexa PenaVega

Before her marriage to Carlos PenaVega, the Spy Kids actress was briefly married to producer Sean Covel. They tied the knot back in 2010 when she was 21 and he was 34. Two years later, the actress announced on Twitter that she and Covel were now divorced.

6. Taran Noah Smith

Former Home Improvement star Taran Noah Smith married a woman 16 years his senior when he was just 17 years old back in 2001. The marriage sparked controversy because he was still a minor at the time and alienated Smith from his family. In 2007, the marriage was over and the two filed for divorce. Smith was 23 years old.

5. Solange Knowles

Solange Knowles and her first husband Daniel Smith were teenagers when they got married in February 2004. She was 17 at the time while he was 19. Several months after they were married, they welcomed a son, Daniel Julez J. Smith Jr. Three years later and the marriage was over, so Solange was married and divorced before her 21st birthday.

4. Demi Moore

Demi Moore’s first marriage was to rock musician Freddy Moore. They tied the knot in 1980 when Moore was 17 years old while he was 12 years her senior. She filed for divorce four years later and it was finalized a year later when she was 22 years old. She then kept his name as her stage name instead of her own, which was Guynes.

3. Marilyn Monroe

Before Marilyn Monroe became an iconic sex symbol, she was a teenage housewife named Norma Jean. She married her 21-year-old neighbor James “Jim” Dougherty in 1942 when she was 16. When he was shipped out to the Pacific in 1944 during World War II, she moved to the L.A. area and became a sought after model. Then Hollywood beckoned and in 1946, when she was 20 years old, the marriage was officially over, as Dougherty was against her having a career.

2. Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian has had a couple of high profile weddings; however, prior to her marriages to Kris Humphries and Kanye West, she was just another teen who eloped in Vegas. When she was 19 she married music producer Damon Thomas and then three years later he filed for divorce. Kardashian has blamed the demise of their marriage on him, claiming that he was both physically and emotionally abusive.

1. Drew Barrymore

Drew Barrymore’s first marriage is now long forgotten but, at the time, it was big news. She married Los Angeles bar owner Jeremy Thomas in March 1994 after having known him for just six weeks. She was 19 at the time while he was 31. They split two months later and then divorced 8 months after that.
