2018 Teen Choice Awards: Worst Dressed Stars

The Teen Choice Awards are always filled with quite a few daring fashion moments. Sometimes this is for the better with statement-making dresses in chic patterns, but sometimes it can also be for the worse with a few fashion disasters. As a teen, it makes sense wanting to stand out while climbing the Hollywood social ladder, but it’s all about moderation when trying to be bold with your fashion. Follow along for 12 of the worst-dressed stars from this year’s 2018 Teen Choice Awards:

12. Katherine Langford

13 Reasons Why star Katherine Langford attended the Teen Choice Awards in a gothic-inspired black dress complete with lace, sheer paneling, a chunky belt and a tulle tiered skirt. The dress itself had a lot going on from the textures to the prints, but the decision to wear black also seemed somewhat drab for such an exciting night. To make matters worse, Langford wore obscure chunks of glitter on her eyes. Lanford is such a natural beauty with her curly hair and light eyes and this dress did not do her justice!

11. Eris Baker

This Is Us star Eris Baker opted for denim on the Teen Choice Awards red carpet this year, which is always a risk in itself. Denim is a casual fabric and typically wouldn’t suit a red carpet event, but in this case, especially so due to the oversized and tacky star pattern covering the overalls. From the lace shirt to the blue makeup and color block heels, this look definitely had us quite puzzled.

10. Evvie McKinney

Signer Evvie McKinney shocked on the Teen Choice Awards red carpet wearing this tight and tiny two-piece set. Typically we’d love the decision to opt for a set instead of a dress for a fun event like the Teen Choice Awards, but this look definitely missed the mark. The metallic texture looked stifling and uncomfortable and the multi-color design was a little questionable.

9. Madelaine Petsch

Riverdale star Madelaine Petsch is such a natural beauty with her lush red tresses and pouty lips, but we can’t say the same for her sense of fashion. Her look for the Teen Choice Awards consisted of a white floral set that in itself isn’t too bad, but the black lace detailing made the look come across tacky. We love matching sets, but this one just didn’t do her beauty justice!

8. Meghan Trainor

Sequin ensembles were a common trend on the Teen Choice Awards red carpet this year, but not all were for the best. Meghan Trainor rocked an interesting outfit that featured full coverage navy sequins on a pajama-inspired set. Although we love both sequins and the pajama trend, we’re not sure they work well together in one outfit!

7. Kandee Johnson

At 40 years old, Youtube star Kandee Johnson looks amazing and glowing! Her outfit, however, definitely wasn’t one of her better fashion decisions. We understand that the Teen Choice Awards is a youthful and fun event, but this purple tulle dress with butterflies came across too theatrical and childish to be a respected red carpet moment.

6. Joey King

The Kissing Booth star Joey King was a hugely anticipated guest at this year’s Teen Choice Awards, but unfortunately, we couldn’t help but feel a little disappointed at her outfit. The black ensemble drowned her petite figure with the oversized ruffles, tulle layering and tier detailing. We do love her decision to wrap her hair up in a top knot, but we wish she had opted for a lighter dress in a fun color!

5. Sabrina Carpenter

Singer Sabrina Carpenter is a blonde bombshell, but her outfit for the 2018 Teen Choice Awards was not the most flattering. The purple printed dress with stars and hearts embellished galore was quite childish, especially with the strange gold fringe around the hemline. We wish Carpenter had opted for something a little more elegant and mature!

4. Lauren Jauregui

Fifth Harmony member Lauren Jauregui attended the Teen Choice awards wearing white reflective pants with a matching kimono and a white lace bra. The look definitely showed off her toned abs and sunkissed skin, but the entire look was a little too risky for a teen event. We’re quite certain that exposed lace bras have no place on any red carpet, but especially the Teen Choice Awards!

3. Lele Pons

Youtube personality Lele Pons opted for a seriously unique, but also quite bizarre outfit for the Teen Choice awards this year. Her look featured a floral-embellished minidress on one half and a red leather ensemble on the other. As much as we respect her decision to take a risk with her fashion, we’re not sure it was well-rewarded with this strange ensemble.

2. JoJo Siwa

Dance Moms and YouTube star Jojo Siwa is known for her bold and whimsical outfit decisions, and naturally, she amped her look up a notch for the Teen Choice Awards. Unfortunately, the entire ensemble was quite the fashion disaster, but we’re presuming this was intentional. The look featured embellished desserts on the skirt alongside sequins, bows and every shade of the rainbow.

1. Noah Cyrus

We love when stars wear stylish outfits that appear effortless on the red carpet, but Noah Cyrus simply looked like she genuinely put in no effort into her outfit on this year’s red carpet. Rather than a dress, pantsuit or set, Cyrus opted for oversized jeans and a knit cropped top. This look as a street style outfit isn’t too bad, but there’s no place for ill-fitting denim on the red carpet, even at the Teen Choice Awards!
