iCarly is making a comeback!
According to TV Line, Miranda Cosgrove will soon be reprising her role as Carly Shay for a revival of the popular Nickelodeon series.
iCarly originally ran from 2007 to 2012 for six seasons on Nickelodeon. The reboot will reportedly appear on Paramount+, an upcoming streaming service from ViacomCBS. The show’s original stars Jerry Trainor, who played Spencer Shay, and Nathan Kress, who played Freddie Benson, are also set to return for the revival.
iCarly has been acknowledged for awards quite a few times over the years. The series was nominated in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 at the Primetime Emmys for outstanding children’s program.
Since the series finale, the cast has had multiple reunions over the years and seem to have continued their friendships into adulthood. Cosgrove attended Coachella in 2016 with her iCarly costar Jennette McCurdy. Two years later, Cosgrove reunited with her former Drake and Josh costar Josh Peck in a video from YouTuber David Dobrik.
According to TV Line‘s report, Jay Kogen and Ali Schouten are slated to develop the iCarly revival.
