Peacock has set the premiere date for its reboot of the beloved ’80s sitcom Punky Brewster!
The streaming app shared that the Punky Brewster reboot will be released to stream this upcoming February 25th. They added that all 10 episodes will drop at once.
The series will follow Punky, played by Soleil Moon Frye, a single mother of three trying to get her life back on track. Punky will meet Izzy, played by Quinn Copeland, who is a young girl in the foster system that reminds her of a younger version of herself.
Fans will be happy to know that Cherie Johnson will be reprising her role as Punky’s best friend Cherie. The series will also star Freddie Prinze Jr. as Punky’s ex-husband Travis, Noah Cottrell as Diego, Oliver De Los Santos as Daniel, and Lauren Lindsey Donzis as Hannah.
The original Punky Brewster is already available to stream on Peacock. The beloved sitcom aired for four seasons between 1984 and 1988.
The Punky Brewster reboot joins the list of popular television shows that have been recently rebooted on Peacock including Saved by the Bell and Psych.
