Legendary James Bond actor Sean Connery’s official cause of passing has been revealed.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, Connery passed in his sleep from heart failure due to pneumonia and old age. The documents specify even further that he passed from atrial fibrillation which is an irregular and often rapid heart rate that can cause poor blood flow.
The actor passed in his Bahamas home on October 31st. He was 90-years old.
It was reported earlier this month that Connery’s ashes were to be spread in his home country of Scotland. “We are going to bring Sean back to Scotland – that was his final wish,” Connery’s widow, Micheline Roquebrune shared.
“He wanted his ashes to be scattered in the Bahamas and also in his homeland,” she continued. “Whenever it is possible and safe to travel again, then it is the family’s intention to return to Scotland with him.”
“We would like to organize a memorial service for him in Scotland – that is our hope,” she added. “But we cannot say when this will happen exactly.”
The news of Connery’s passing was made public on October 31st, shortly after he passed in his sleep the night before. At the time, Connery’s son Jason opened up sharing that, “We are all working at understanding this huge event as it only happened so recently, even though my dad has been unwell for some time.”
“A sad day for all who knew and loved my dad and a sad loss for all people around the world who enjoyed the wonderful gift he had as an actor.”
