Will Sharon, Tessa and Rey find Mariah before it’s too late? Young and the Restless (Y&R) fans just love to speculate on storylines! As such, below are some Y&R plotline predictions for August 16th to August 27th, 2021.

12. Nick Turns To Victor

Y&R preview video for this coming week shows Nick approaching Victor and Nikki about Ashland Locke and his relationship with Vicky. With his dad’s help, Nick wants to see if they can dig into Locke’s past to find anything that doesn’t seem right. It sounds like Victoria’s brother has an inkling that the Locke-Ness Monster is up to no good.

11. Ashland’s Done This Before

Could this “illness” be from a playbook scam that Ashland’s already done in his past? Did he fake a condition to get a hold of a company or fortune? Is this how he made his money in the first place? If anyone can dig up the goods on Ashland’s past, it’s the Moustache and his resources.

10. Nick Keeps Phyllis Out Of The Loop

Victor will proceed with an investigation on Ashland; however, will the Moustache inform his son that he needs to keep things hush-hush from RedY&R spoilers for this week hint that Nick won’t reveal his hand to someone. Will Nick keep Phyllis in the dark about his possible investigation into the Locke-Ness Monster? Could this place a wedge between Phick?

9. Sally and Adam

Sounds strange to ship these two up, but with both Spectra and Newman suddenly single, and Sally working for Adam, could sparks fly? Kevin and Chloe will warn the redhead about Adam in the week ahead. Are they warning her from a business or personal perspective? Maybe a little of both.

8. Friends Become Something More

Jack will be down in the dumps this week, and he’ll get some words of wisdom from gal pal, Lauren. How many times will Fenmore lift Abbott before romantic sparks fly? Despite a few flings in the past, these two have been nothing more than buddies in recent years. With that said, friends have been known to cross a line or two in Genoa City. While Michael and Lauren make a fantastic couple, the drama that would unfold if Jack and Lauren hooked up would be epic!

7. Should Lily Be Worried?

This week’s Y&R preview video also shows Billy telling Lily that Vic marrying Ashland could be the “biggest mistake of her life”. Takes one to know one, Mr. Abbott! All joking aside, despite the heartache Billy has caused Victoria over the years, they do have two beautiful kids as a result of their romance. Plus, their co-parenting is a lot better than some divorced couples on the soap. But should Lily be concerned over Billy’s worry? Will he always have a bond with Victoria, or is the lack of real closure the reason he’s a tad obsessed with his ex’s new relationship?

6. Newman War On The Horizon

Speaking of Victoria, Y&R spoilers for this week imply that Victor will encourage his daughter and Adam to call a truce. By the time the week of August 23rd hits, Victor will issue a warning to his son. Could he see that Adam isn’t interested in clearing the slate with Vic? Perhaps Victoria will learn the truth about Ashland and his sickness that week, and the Moustache will tell Adam to back off. If Vicky is hurting, Victor will be in protective mode.

5. Time Is Ticking

The good news is, Sharon and Tessa are fully committed to finding Mariah. The bad news is that time is ticking. Copeland is in her third trimester, and anything could happen with the baby at this point. Is her kidnapper more preoccupied with Mariah or getting their hands on that baby? Could she be induced over the next couple of weeks? Will she be found before the baby comes?

4. Ramping Up Efforts

According to Y&R spoilers, efforts to find Mariah will be ramped up. Rey is on it, Tessa will come across something disturbing and share the information with Sharon, and it sounds as if the ladies will also head straight to Victor. The Moustache will be on board to help out, not only because Copeland is carrying his grandchild, but also her ties to Cassie (and Sharon). Plus, it sounds like Devon will reach out to Denise Tolliver. Everyone is focused on finding Mariah, so hopefully it won’t be too long now.

3. The Abby Factor

Y&R spoilers for this coming week hint that Sharon and Tessa will approach Victor. This leaves a ton of questions for some fans. Why hasn’t Abby reached out to her powerful dad? She has a ton of Abbott-Newman-Chancellor money herself, too. Why hasn’t she secretly searched for Mariah on her own to ensure her surrogate is located and safe? She wouldn’t have to tell anyone. Could Abby be behind all this? Kidnap Copeland and keep her locked up to ensure the baby is safe before it comes into this world?

2. Mariah Will Give Birth Before She Is Found

Y&R spoilers for the week of August 23rd indicate that Mariah will feel like the walls are closing in, while Kevin and Rey corner a suspect. There is no way they are finding Copeland until at least the week of August 30th, if not well into September. Could Mariah end up giving birth before she is found? Could the kidnapper leave her after delivery and steal the baby?

1. Ian Ward Is Behind It

Y&R fans have been speculating on who has kidnapped Mariah. Stitch seems like a good suspect, then there’s his son Max. Nina has been sus lately, too. But what about Ian Ward? He once tried to marry Mariah, and with a baby in her belly, they could create the family he always wanted. Copeland is also carrying Victor Newman’s grandchild, so this would be a double whammy for revenge.
